Current Status & Where We’re Going
As of now, we’re preparing for one of the biggest milestones on our journey: the finalization of the property purchase in mid-September. That’s when we’ll officially receive the keys — and, for the first time, be able to see the whole picture.
Up until now, we’ve only been inside 2 of the 4 existing buildings. One is the main house, previously lived in by the current owner’s granddaughter and her family. The other is an abandoned but promising structure at the bottom end of the land, clearly in need of renovation. The other two buildings are still rented out, so we’ve yet to explore them.
Our first step after handover: take stock of everything. Which units are livable? Which can we occupy ourselves? Which could we softly renovate and rent out during the planning phase?
A Soft Start
We’re not ready to welcome guests just yet. Right now, the property reflects its roots — it’s still very much a working farm. That said, our plan is to begin with light renovations on two houses, creating clean, cozy spaces for rent while we pursue rezoning and long-term development.
Speaking of zoning: our vision includes keeping around ¼ to ⅓ of the land as Agri 2, while applying to rezone the rest into a nature conservation area. This will allow us to create something aligned with our values — ecological, natural, and deeply connected to place.
What Comes Next
While the paperwork for zoning progresses, we’ll begin tackling the landscape: removing invasive species, building a few paths, maybe even creating some outdoor activity areas. Our goal is to bring the land to life, little by little, while staying true to its spirit.
This process will take time — we estimate 1 to 2 years before we can truly open our doors to guests. But we’re okay with that. It gives us space to build slowly, intentionally, and sustainably.
Take a Look Around

We’ll keep sharing updates, milestones, and behind-the-scenes glimpses here on the blog as things evolve. If you’d like to follow along and eventually be among the first to stay subscribe to our newsletter below and stay connected to the journey.
